RSM 392 Strategic Management - Instructor (Winter 2025)

This course examines why some businesses consistently outperform others. It covers strategic fit, industry dynamics, value creation, growth strategies, innovation, and stakeholder motivation. Using diverse case studies and readings, students develop critical thinking skills through strategy tool application and peer discussions. The course mirrors MBA-level rigor, emphasizing participation and professionalism to prepare students for advanced studies and professional challenges.

Advanced Statistics and Econometrics for Public Policy - Lab instructor (Prof. Marcos Rangel, Fall 2019)

This course covers statistical and econometric methods for inferring causal relationships in public policy. The first part of the course reviews material from introductory statistics including summarizing data, classical hypothesis testing, and constructing and interpreting confidence intervals. The second part of the course focuses on the mechanics of ordinary least squares (OLS) regression. The third part of the course covers econometric methods used for inferring causal relationships in public policy and program evaluation, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs), difference-in-differences (DD), and regression discontinuity (RD).

Foundations of Strategy - Teaching Assistant for MBA & Executive Education (2018-2023)

This course explores the sources of sustained profits in the face of competitive pressures. In doing so, it introduces concepts and skills necessary for managers, management consultants, and financial analysts to understand, craft, and support a firm’s strategy.

Emerging Markets Strategy - Teaching Assistant (Prof. Sharon Belenzon, Fall 2020)

This course examines strategies adopted by firms in emerging markets to compete domestically and globally. It focuses on rapidly growing economies like BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and others in Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. The course explores how traditional business strategies are adapted to the unique conditions of emerging markets and their home countries. It is designed for Daytime MBA and Accelerated Daytime MBA students.
